Our family-run company looks back on a long tradition: 

It was founded in 1982 by Georg and Brigitte Abele as Maschinenbau GmbH.

In 2009 the idea for the Abele thin section system was born. The founder Georg Abele was looking for a way to produce thin sections of outstanding quality in a shorter time. 

Up to this point in time, the complete thin section of a rock sample took an average of approx. 7 days, from the first preparation of the sample to the finished section. 

The quality of the thin sections was variable due to the long processing time and numerous sources of error. In the worst case, the procedure had to be repeated with a new sample, so that another week would pass before an acceptable result was obtained. 

With the Abele system, the same steps can be completed in a maximum of one day. And thanks to the automated procedure, every thin section produced can show flawless quality. 

A similarly good quality can only be achieved by using a MASCHINE. Such a machine costs tens of thousands of euros. 

The SystemAbele is clearly superior here too, and professional-quality thin sections are also achievable for the hobby mineralogist.
